As an athlete, I learned what it's like to hide a personal truth—and the toll it takes when you can't show up as your full self. And as an SVP of Organizational Development, I saw how that same dynamic plays out in organizations every day—people feeling dismissed, overlooked, misunderstood, but no one else even noticing.
I also know what's possible when one person chooses connection and acceptance over judgment. I've experienced it personally, and I've watched leaders create it for their teams. Those moments—the ones that go unnoticed—are where trust is built or broken. Where collaboration speeds up or slows down. Where people feel safe, seen, and heard—or they don't.
Small moments matter more than we realize. And leaders who understand that can create ripple effects that reach far beyond what they'll ever see.

The Start a Ripple Postcard Movement
A MOMENT THAT DOESN'T END WHEN PEOPLE LEAVE THE ROOM
Most keynotes end the same way: applause, maybe some Q&A, then everyone files out and gets back to their lives. The moment happens, and then it's over. I wanted to create something different—a moment that doesn't end when people leave the room. A real-time ripple effect that keeps going.
That's where the postcards came in.
During my keynotes, attendees write postcards to someone who created a ripple effect in their lives—a mentor, manager, coach, family member, friend. The people who came before them. The ones who helped them become who they are and get where they are today.
I collect them and mail them on their behalf. But here's what makes it a movement: each postcard includes a QR code so recipients can order their own free postcards and continue the ripple.
Since August 2024:
We’ve shared over 5,000 postcards reaching people in 40 states and 9 countries.
It's a nod to all the people who shaped us. An acknowledgment that sets off a ripple effect that never ends.
