From Keynote to Culture Shift: Inside a Ripple Effect Leadership Workshop
I have to brag on the Palmetto Marriott Resort & Spa for a moment, and particularly their leadership.
Greg Ciaccio, Kim Boyer and the team have fully embraced and actively model the Ripple Effect Leadership philosophy and framework.
After sharing my ideas in a keynote for all of their supervisors, managers and executive leaders, we got together six weeks later for a half-day workshop to get into the WORK.
And the work was SO MUCH FUN (photos for evidence!).
But in order for this work to work, you need a strong leader who is willing to do the work, too.
To be present, to be vulnerable, to create a safe space for learning.

π You are at the center of your own Ripple Effect and you matter
π EVERYONE plays a crucial role in the larger ecosystem of the resort
π The negative (often accidental) ripples you cause will spread FAST
π You and your work are more connected to each other than you realize
π Guests carry the energy of the ripples you cause - positive and negative
π When you create an exceptional environment for staff, you cause an exceptional experience for guests
π Tension and friction in one part of the business will soon be felt elsewhere
π There may be a finite number of people who are direct recipients of your leadership, but...
π The indirect impact of your leadership is felt by an ENDLESS, UNQUANTIFIABLE number of people - this is mind blowing if you think about it
